Star Andre demands hefty 401 items at slimming gig

PETER Andre earned £30,000 for a 45-minute Slimming World gig and weighed in with a string of demands to keep him and his crew happy.

In an eye-watering rider, he requested 401 items including a jar of chopped ginger, a supply of booze and black hand towels.

Whisky had to be Johnnie Walker Blue Label, while “quality white wine” must not include Chardonnay, Chablis, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc.

Two jars of manuka honey, chew- ing gum and assorted Cadbury chocolate was also requested. His band’s room needed bottles of Bacardi 8, Jack Daniels, beer and “quality” red and white wine. And a “home-cooked meal for crew including vegetarian, red meat and white meat option” was also ordered. Stage essentials

An insider said: “It was the most ridiculous amount of requests. It’s as if he thinks he’s part of the Rolling Stones. Most of what was requested wasn’t even used.”

Peter, 44, wore a gold jacket for part of the event at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre on November 4.

He later said he donated a “substantial” sum. A source close to Peter said of the Slimming World do: “Peter, his dancers and band were on the road from 6am and returned home past midnight. The rider covered a full day but several items were not even supplied. “Peter presented the show, did over 800 meet-and-greets and a performance. He was booked for 45 minutes and actually did one hour and 10 minutes.”
