Jamie book turns tables on Nigella

JAMIE Oliver is Britain’s bestselling chef again after beating Nigella Lawson in the Christmas book chart.

The TV chef, 42, has already sold 500,000 copies of 5 Ingredients and has an “unassailable” lead.

His book is selling five times faster than At My Table by rival Nigella, 57.

Mary Berry’s Complete Cookbook is third, Gino D’Acampo’s Italian Coastal Escape fourth and Rick Stein’s The Road To Mexico and California fifth.

Chart compiler Karen Brindle of Tesco said: “Jamie is back doing what he does best – simple-tomake recipes that appeal to a wide audience.”

It follows a tough year in which six of his Jamie’s Italian chain shut due to a rise in the minimum wage and costlier ingredients.
