SAM PUTS NZONZI IN HIS SIGHTZ
SAM ALLARDYCE has targeted Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi as one of his Everton priority signings.
Allardyce is also considering a January move for Watford striker Troy Deeney as he looks to cash in on the bumper transfer funds promised by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
Nzonzi, 28, (left) played under Allardyce at Blackburn and is anxious to leave Spain having joined Sevilla from Stoke City for £7million two-and-ahalf years ago.
Seville will be reluctant to part with one of their main players, but a fee of around £20m would tempt them
Allardyce is prepared to spend up to £40m on a new striker, with Deeney top of the new Goodison gaffer’s list.
He also wants to bolster his defence, with West Brom’s Jonny Evans and Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt on his radar. JOSE MOURINHO has blocked any move away from Old Trafford on loan in the new year for Manchester United youngster Scott McTominay.
The 20-year-old midfielder (above) has been attracting interest from Scottish giants Rangers as well as a handful of Championship clubs.
But Mourinho believes McTominay has a role to play with his squad this season as United go for glory on four fronts.
The United boss gave the Lancasterborn player his debut at Arsenal last May and he has made four appearances in the Champions League and Carabao Cup this season.
ODION IGHALO has put Premier League clubs on alert as he targets a January return. The ex-Watford striker (above) joined Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai on £190,000a-week almost a year ago. But he said: “If I had my way I would have stayed in the Premier League. My priority was to remain in England.”
