Roads closed as B&M burns
SHOPPERS were forced to flee from a B&M discount store when a blaze broke out in its storage yard.
The fire swept through the shop, causing clouds of thick black smoke.
A northern section of York’s busy outer ring road was closed off yesterday evening after the smoke made driving unsafe.
People living nearby were told to stay inside.
North Yorkshire Police tweeted: “All emergency services on scene at a large fire at B&M Clifton Moor.”
