NAZI-saluting, far-right thugs clashed with police at a rally yesterday.

Violence erupted as thousands of anti-fascists took on hundreds from the Democratic Football Lads Alliance near Downing Street yesterday.

About 3,000 protesters descended on the capital.

Some tried to break through police lines as officers in riot gear and horses separated them from left-wingers.

Anti-fascist groups chanted “Nazi scum off our streets” and “whose streets, our streets” in response to the DFLA.

Counter-protesters, helped by trade unions, Stand Up To Racism and Unite Against Fascism, branded them Islamophobic. Police said they made one arrest.
