FRIENDS of an OAP who stabbed a burglar to death are furious because an alleged accomplice has gone free without charge.

Billy Jeeves, 28, was held 16 days after Richard Osborn-Brooks, 78, fatally stabbed traveller Henry Vincent, 37, at his home.

Police have confirmed no charges will be filed against Jeeves because of insufficient evidence.

A mum who lives near the raided home in Hither Green, south-east London, said: “Richard is in hiding. Now one of those accused has walked free when Richard’s life is ruined.”

Married Mr OsbornBrooks was released without charge over Vincent’s killing in April.

Locals have torn down travellers’ floral shrines to Vincent next to the house.
