PO anger as Mail delivers a trade blow
AILING post offices have accused the privatised Royal Mail of snatching their business customers.
They fear contract users are lured after Mail sorting offices spot their details.
One sub-postmaster said: “They were offering my customers half price post and parcel pick-up. How can we compete?”
The Communication Workers’ Union said hundreds of sub-postmasters have voiced concern.
Royal Mail said: “We do not encourage switching. Businesses who have seen their needs grow sometimes seek Mail accounts of their own volition.”
