That’s the word from Russian conservatives who have slammed the mega- popular Nintendo virtual- reality game as being “demonic”.

Frants Klintsevich, a senator of the Federation Council, Russia’s upper chamber of parliament, raged: “It feels like the devil arrived through Pokemon, and is trying to tear our morality apart from the inside.”

Klintsevich has called for a list of “restricting measures” to help gamers WARNING: Klintsevich avoid falling under Pokemon’s “corrupting influence”.

Irbis, a nationalist, ultraconservative Cossack group from St. Petersburg, will appeal to a consumer rights watchdog and Apple to ban the game in Russia, using the same comparison.

Andrei Polyakov, the group’s leader, foamed: “We need to take people out of the virtual world, and this generally smacks of Satan.”

Pokemon Go has not yet been officially launched in Russia, though millions of users have already signed up to play the game.
