Godly Tim offered job with monks

-

A GROUP of MONKS have asked Tim Farron to be their new boss after he quit as leader of the LibDems.

The MP ( above), 47, resigned last week saying he could not be leader and “remain faithful to Christ”.

He had repeatedly run into trouble with colleagues and the media after declaring gay sex was “sinful”.

But the devout churchgoer has already had a new job offer – as abbot of the monastery on the tiny Outer Hebrides island of Sgarabhaigh.

The monks there have bene without a leader since the previous abbot died in 1995 and the brothers hope Farron will join them.

Spokesman Brother Peter said: “Mr Farron has proved himself worthy in the eyes of God. It may not be ‘ trendy’ to say it these days but taking a stand against sin is the right thing to do.

“We think he is the right man to lead our devotions.”

It’s believed Mr Farron has yet to respond to the offer.
