Russia gives thumbs up to Weinstein

Sunday Sport - - NEWS -

FALLEN movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has found some unlikely defenders – in RUSSIA!

The sex- pest producer, who faces a string of accusations from actresses and would- be starlets, has been shunned by Tinseltown.

But the 65- year- old ( above) has found support in Moscow.

Russian telly has broadcast criticism of the Western focus on sexual harassment – and some of the critics show little or no sympathy for the women involved.

Dmitry Kiselyov, a major player in the Kremlin’s media machine and who hosts a Sunday news show, asked his viewers: “What did they expect?

“They went up to a man’s hotel room on their own, without compulsion.”

Meanwhile Ren TV showed a graphic of the “ideal” man fit to be the next US president, who is “limbless so he can’t touch women, a mute so he can’t make salacious jokes and blind so he can’t leer at them lasciviously.” – Harry Hill
