A FEMALE cannibal suspected of eating 30 people has been declared SANE enough to stand trial.

Sick Natalia Baksheeva, 43, admitted eating her victims over an 18 - year period when she was arrested last year.

But she claims that it was her husband, Dmity Baksheeva, 35, who had murdered the victims she scoffed.

And because there is no specific law against cannibalism in Russia she has only been charged with a single count of conspiracy to murder for goading Dmity into killing 35- year- old waitress Elena Vashrusheva.

It was Elena’s boiled and then frozen remains police discovered in the couple’s kitchen.

They also found a jar of pickled human organs and 19 slices of skin when they raided their home in Krasnodar.

A police source said: “When we arrested her we were convinced she would be sent straight to the asylum.

“She told us she had eaten 30 people since 1999. No- one sane does that but the doctors reckon she’s fit to stand trial.

“Sadly we only have evidence for one murder and she only faces 15 years in jail – that’s if she’s found guilty.”

Dmity is suffering from TB and is at the moment too ill to face charges.

Cops say Dmity also took selfies with Elena’s severed body parts as he butchered her after stabbing her to death.
