Vegan Lesbian Cannibal Holocaust was meant to be a light- hearted film in the same vein as the 2009 comedy horror Lesbian Vampire Killers, which starred James Corden and Mathew Horne.

But things have changed a lot since then and in a statement to investors late on Friday, the production t e a m admitted that “in light of recent controversy concerning veganism, we do not believe the time is right for this movie.”

It’s thought that the “recent controversy” referred to is Waitrose food magazine editor William Sitwell being forced out of his job for making a joke about killing vegans in a private email with a freelance journalist.

A source close to the now- halted movie said: “We had high hopes for the film. There were hopes that the likes of Roxanne Pallett and Jorgie Porter would come on board, along with Danny Dyer, who is a seasoned horror B- movie veteran.

“And for a bit of fun we were in talks about getting Fat Pat out of Enders and Fizz from Corrie involved, too.

“But after all that Sitwell business, we’ve come to realise you can’t f** k about with them vegans.

“Not only are they completely humourless, they’re better organised than the f** king SS.

“That’s why pulled it.”

Sitwell apologised again after the news of his resignation broke, saying that it had just been an “ill- judged joke”. we’ve MEET TWO VEG: Pat and Fizz
