Waitrose storm raises ‘ vegan bashing’ fears

Sunday Sport - - NEWS -

ACTIVISTS have warned there will be an increase in anti- vegan violence after vegans forced the resignation of William Sitwell as editor of posh Waitrose magazine.

A spokesperson for the Vegan and Allies AntiDefamation Front said “increased vegaphobia” was “inevitable” following the departure of Sitwell, who joked about killing meat- shy fussy eaters.

The spokesperson blathered: “Vegans may be in the firing line thanks to irresponsible media reporting of the Sitwell situation.

“We call for increased police patrols around vegan sites and for the government to create an offence of vegaphobia.”

Last night, there were reports the words “Vegans are c** ts” had been sprayed near a Birmingham underpass. Meat- eating extremists have been blamed.
