WELL it seems Jeremy Corbyn has come out fighting while Theresa May is hiding in plain sight on the general election trail.

Our Prime Minister has made much of her strong leadership and wrapped herself in a Union Jack like a Brexit Boudicca.

Yet when it comes to taking the opportunit­y to debating her policies on TV against Corbyn she has decided to leave her chariot in the garage.

And her every visit on the campaign trail is stage managed to the point of sterility, with any person not ‘on message’ kept well away.

Meanwhile Corbyn is at last being given the chance to talk about his policies and what he could do for the country while facing all comers.

It’s an opportunit­y he has been rarely given since he became Labour leader two years ago, which has seen him come under the most intense scrutiny.

If May faced the same kind of scrutiny and was judged in the media on what her government had actually achieved and not what favours she can bestow upon
