Baby food product recalled after plastic found in stew meal

Sunday Sun - - News -

PARENTS who buy Asda’s “Little Angels” baby food range have been warned to check the packaging, after one product was recalled due to safety fears.

A batch of the brand’s organic beef and sweet potato stew is being recalled “as a precaution”.

The measure was taken after a “small piece of plastic” was found inside one portion of the stew.

Parents are warned not to feed their children stew from this batch and to bring it back into the shop.

The recall only applies to products with the best before date 10/09/2018. The barcode number will read 5054070907559. No other Little Angels products are affected.

Customers can return the product to Asda shops for their money back – they don’t need to produce a receipt.

An Asda spokesperson said: “If you have purchased Little Angels organic beef and sweet potato stew 12m+, please return it to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.

“You do not need a receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
