Until there is a body, I’m not giving up hope
THE dad of missing Newcastle man Michael Whinham has revealed he believes his son is still alive and living rough nearly two years after he disappeared.
Michael was last seen on November 14, 2015 and was officially reported missing to police on November 23.
His dad Paul has been trying to search for him ever since and says “if a body hasn’t turned up, then he’s out there somewhere”.
The 67-year-old, of Wallsend, says a couple of people have told him they saw his son in Scotland.
The most recent report was from a man who was homeless in Edinburgh who claimed he saw Michael in May.
Paul added: “This man said 100% he was with Michael and went for a drink with him in a couple of pubs. They were both living on the street.”
He has now made an emotional appeal for his son to come back home.
