DARLINGTON went out of the FA Tro­phy to a last-minute goal against Har­ro­gate on Fri­day night.

An equaliser eight min­utes from time by for­mer Gateshead player Reece Sty­che seemed to earn Quak­ers a re­play, un­til Joe Leesley headed in the win­ner.

Quak­ers, with­out a win since Tommy Wright took charge, looked sharp in the first half, but the clos­est they came to scor­ing was a Terry Gal­braith shot into the hands of keeper James Belshaw from a Phil Turn­bull free-kick.

Quak­ers took the lead on 49 min­utes when Greg Mills was tripped in the area by Har­ro­gate full-back Jack Vann as he tried to latch on to a Sty­che flick on, and Sty­che neatly scored from the spot.

But Quak­ers didn’t hold on their lead for long, be­cause Har­ro­gate gained
