Quak­ers then went 2-1 down on 58 min­utes when Leesley popped up on the right and crossed for debu­tant Lach­lan Barr to head into the roof of the net from a few yards.

Quak­ers nearly lev­elled when Belshaw saved a well-hit vol­ley by Greg Mills at full stretch, and Sty­che couldn’t turn in the re­bound. How­ever, Sty­che quickly be­came a crowd favourite with eight min­utes left when he latched on to a headed clear­ance, pow­er­fully held off a de­fender’s chal­lenge, and poked the ball past the ad­vanc­ing keeper.

But just as a re­play looked likely, Har­ro­gate got the win­ner when Leesley headed a Ge­orge Thom­son cor­ner past Wil­czyn­ski into the net.
