Vicky’s out to make life miles bet­ter for those in need

TV star Vicky Pat­ti­son will to­day push her body through the pain bar­rier - and it’s all to help oth­ers.

The gutsy Ge­ordie celebrity has come through some of the big­gest chal­lenges put be­fore her.

But now she is ready to push her body to a whole new level.

The for­mer Ge­ordie Shore and I’m a Celebrity star, who was crowned Queen of the Jun­gle, has re­turned home – just in time to take part in the world’s big­gest half-marathon.

The Wallsend celebrity is pre­par­ing for her first Great North Run to­day, fundrais­ing along­side her mum Car­roll.

And it was down to the per­sis­tence of her mum – a for­mer char­ity direc­tor with our sis­ter pa­per The Chron­i­cle’s Sun­shine Fund – that fi­nally en­cour­aged Vicky to take on the 13.1-mile route from Newcastle
