SIEMENS employees from Transmission Services based in Monkton raised £5,940 for the mental health charity Mind – surpassing their total raised in 2017 by more than £1,000.

Events included a fundraising challenge called Grow50, where groups were given £50 and needed to plan activities to increase it. Through a fete and a sports day, two Monkton teams raised £750 from just £50 each. Further activities included a bake sale and quiz day, which raised a further £337.

A team of 11 from Siemens Monkton site raised over £1,700 for their participation in Leeds Total Warrior, a 12km obstacle course, in June.

Siemens matched the money raised from all activities undertaken to help reach the £5940 total.
