PC and two men hurt in dog at­tack

A PO­LICE of­fi­cer and two men were se­ri­ously in­jured af­ter be­ing at­tacked by two dogs in the early hours of yes­ter­day.

Po­lice were called to an ad­dress in Leeds at 4.40am af­ter two men were bit­ten.

They had heard two dogs bark­ing in the back gar­den of a prop­erty.

A 59-year-old man was de­scribed as hav­ing po­ten­tially life-chang­ing in­juries, while an el­derly man was also badly hurt af­ter be­ing bit­ten on the arm.

West York­shire Po­lice said an of­fi­cer was also bit­ten on the arm while de­tain­ing one of the dogs in Garth Walk.

It is thought the dogs got out from an­other nearby prop­erty.

The force said: “Two peo­ple, be­lieved to be the own­ers of the dogs, have been ar­rested in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent.

“The dogs have been seized.”
