Water baby scoops an award
Wearside water baby, Evan Richardson, who started swimming just months after being born 12 weeks prematurely, has been given a Little Heroes Award for his accomplishments from UK baby and toddler swimming school, Water Babies.
Now two, the Castletown youngster was selected for the national award because of his determination.
Mum, Jacqueline Richardson, had heard about the health benefits of baby swimming and signed him up for classes and he took to it like a duck to water.
She said: “I honestly think swimming definitely helped a lot with his overall development.”
