Lots of sites to build on

Sunderland Echo - - Opinion -

Come on, Sunderland councillors, have some morals. We need to show pride in our parks and natural habitat, once built on they never return.

Why build on green belt, is this due to land reclamation costs?

Please consider the miles of riverside where we could build executive housing.

The Smiles site in Deptford, an executive riverside estate? The former college North Hylton Road, the former Hepworths site, Coles Cranes (Pallion village) former housing land in Pennywell and Ford, to name but a few proposed sites?

And no I don’t live in a desired location, I live in a council house but I do care for our environment.

Consider our heritage for the next generation. John Edwards
