Think Tank branch into city
Successful Newcastle music promoter Think Tank has branched into Sunderland.
As well as the upstairs room at The Peacock, off Keel Square, being available for functions, it’s also being used for a host of live music gigs.
It’s already attracted a number of international acts including New York punk veterans, Manitoba NYC, formerly known as The Dictators.
This Saturday the venue will host Ghost Signals at 7.30pm - an indie goth band from Newcastle.
Think Tank is the latest addition to the emerging cultural quarter, a renaissance which has been centred around the £3.5m transformation of The Fire Station.
As part of the quarter, The Dun Cow and The Peacock, formerly The Londonderry have both been given a new lease of life and have been restored to their former Edwardian glory.
