Think Tank branch into city

Suc­cess­ful New­cas­tle mu­sic pro­moter Think Tank has branched into Sun­der­land.

As well as the up­stairs room at The Pea­cock, off Keel Square, be­ing avail­able for func­tions, it’s also be­ing used for a host of live mu­sic gigs.

It’s al­ready at­tracted a num­ber of in­ter­na­tional acts in­clud­ing New York punk vet­er­ans, Man­i­toba NYC, for­merly known as The Dic­ta­tors.

This Satur­day the venue will host Ghost Sig­nals at 7.30pm - an in­die goth band from New­cas­tle.

Think Tank is the lat­est ad­di­tion to the emerg­ing cul­tural quar­ter, a re­nais­sance which has been cen­tred around the £3.5m trans­for­ma­tion of The Fire Sta­tion.

As part of the quar­ter, The Dun Cow and The Pea­cock, for­merly The Lon­don­derry have both been given a new lease of life and have been re­stored to their for­mer Ed­war­dian glory.
