STORY: Workers give up Christmas gifts to pay for colleague’s £17,500 life-saving cancer treatment

Pete West: I’ve always wondered why cancer charities never step in and pay for these things, after all they collect 10s of millions every year.

Vicky Robson Was Brunton: Wow what an amazing thing this company has done and shame

on the NHS. No treatment hearing, this alot lately. I hope you make a full recovery even though you have a long road ahead of you but there is light at the end now thanks to this brilliant gesture.

Susan Little: Wonderful news. Unfortunately this treatment is not available on the NHS. At the moment it is only available on trial in the US. Hope all goes well Liam and family.

Carolyn Tuckwell: This is fantastic. Well done all at ZF (was TRW) in Peterlee.

Sylvia Weetman: This is amazing such kind people, well done.
