20, of Hurst­wood Road, Sun­der­land, pleaded guilty to driv­ing a BMW 330D on Nil­ver­ton Av­enue, on Novem­ber 18, when the pro­por­tion of al­co­hol namely 54 mi­cro­grammes, in 100ml of breath, ex­ceeded the pre­scribed limit. He was fined £300 and was told to pay a sur­charge to fund vic­tim ser­vices of £40 and costs of £85. He was dis­qual­i­fied from hold­ing or ob­tain­ing a driv­ing li­cence for 15 months.

28, of Neville Court, Sul­grave, Washington, pleaded guilty to steal­ing whisky to the value of £70, jointly with an­other man, from an Aldi store in Pelaw Gateshead, on March 5. He was told to pay com­pen­sa­tion of £35.
