STORY: Bottle or breastfeeding? Woman’s choice must be respected, midwives told

-

Marc Hope: Can’t see the appeal of breast feeding. Just means mam is on constant demand whereas bottles are much easier to balance between both parents.

Alison Perrett: Sorry I know if not the “done” thing but what’s

wrong with bottle feeding? I was put under no pressure 10 years ago to decide one or the other, I chose bottles, both kids were fed by me, dad, nana etc. It was easy when I went back to work and both are in excellent health. No new mam should be “told” they should just be “advised” on what choice to make. If you’re old enough to have a baby you are old enough to make an informed decision yourself on feeding the baby.
