Dandelion Taraxacum

Surf Girl - - – Well-Being – -

Dandelion is a detoxifying plant that makes your skin glow and stimulates your metabolism. You can brew delicious dandelion tea or use its leaves as salad ingredients. The smooth-edged leaves are the tastiest. The serrated leaves can taste a bit bitter but they contain more antioxidants, so blend them in your green smoothies to get an extra boost of vitamin B,C, D and K, beta-carotene and iron. In Finland, there are over 500 different dandelion species, all of which are edible from roots to flowers. Fry the flowers in a pan with a hint of butter and honey and you'll get a healthy, tasty dessert. Preserve the little flower buds in oil and vinegar and you'll get a local alternative to capers.
