SUMMER FESTIVAL VIBES WITH BOARDMASTERS
We’re excited for festival season and our favourite surf and music event of the year – Boardmasters. Every year the festival gets bigger and better, with some awesome new additions to the bill. As well as the amazing music line-up, here’s what we’re looking forward to at this year’s festival:
Yet again the surfing elite are set to surf the world-famous Fistral beach at the most high profile surfing event in the UK. The Quiksilver Open and Roxy Open will join the Men’s and Women’s Longboarding, all of which are on the WSL Qualifying Series. Also exciting for 2018 is that the European leg of the WSL Longboard series will be held at Boardmasters, meaning the new champion will be crowned at the event.
Each year the line-up grows, and the 2018 headliners look amazing – with Cat Fish and The Bottle Men, The Chemical Brothers and George Ezra taking centre stage across the weekend. With a plethora of UK and International musicians taking the stage, we’re ready to get out our festival outfits and the (eco-friendly) glitter, and embrace the festival vibes.
Gone are the days where you only had the choice of a dodgy burger van or hot dogs; Boardmasters is taking festival cuisine to the next level. With a Cornish Market, local products, mindful foods, street food and – of course – plenty of drink stalls, there’s something for everyone.
With all the partying and surfing you’ll need some rest and recuperation. This year the brand new Zennor Haven is host to a variety of mind, body and soul-enriching experiences. Tucked away from the festival madness, perched high upon the cliffs at Watergate Bay, it won’t be hard to chill here.
Start your festival days with cliff-top yoga overlooking Watergate Bay. Roxy will be hosting ladies’ morning yoga sessions at Watergate Bay, completely free. It’s a perfect way to begin each day and share your passions for outdoor adventure with a group of like-minded ladies.
Every morning from Wednesday to Sunday, morning beach yoga sessions will also take place on the idyllic Fistral Beach. Free and open to everyone, the sessions are a great way to kick off a day at the beach.
