What do you love the most about surfing? Saltwater washes away both dirt and makeup and shows your real face and personality. What’s the one thing you cannot live without? Honestly speaking there are lots of things that I can’t live without. I don’t want to lie and say I’m free of addictions! But if choosing one that is really important, it would definitely be silence. I am very sensitive to sounds around me and every day I need a quiet place and time to be balanced and relaxed.

Favourite food to eat after a day of surfing?

I’m vegetarian, so after surfing or any other sport I try to eat more protein meals and products. Fresh coconut after a surf session is a must – it’s both hydration and a snack. I’m a huge fan of lentils, Russian tvorog (like cottage cheese, but very special) and falafels.

Where next on your surf trip adventure list?

My next surf trip adventure will be to Java, here in Indonesia. There is one break in East Java that has a perfect longboard wave, with amazing local surfers. I want to pack a variety of boards in the van and go on a road trip with my girls, stopping at some unknown breaks, volcanoes and even some cities.
