How does surfing make you feel?

It’s a mix of feeling super happy, stoked, full of energy, alive and very smiley. The feeling of riding a wave in a sunny place is actually one of the best feelings in the world.

What’s next on your surf trip adventure list?

Early summer Fuerteventura and Portugal, then at the end of the year I will spend a month in Sri Lanka.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you in the surf?

What seriously embarrassing is when you turn up to a new spot where there are locals in the water and they usually give you one chance to see if you can surf. If you f**k up that one wave you won’t have an easy time to get another one. I went out to a local spot in Bali, paddled the hardest I could to get the wave, I made it to my feet but then my board was so slippery that I did a massive belly splat in front of the whole line up. That gets you a few extra giggles for sure!
