Superhero heaven at Comic Con
FROM Star Wars and Disney princesses to Marvel heroes and more, cosplayers filled Guildford for the second ever Comic Con. After a successful summer last year, the annual convention of all things comic books and television returned to Guildford Spectrum last weekend (September 2-3). Fans were able to get up close with stars like Jayson Warner Smith and Joshua Mikel from The Walking Dead, and Clive Russell, Aimee Richardson and Ross O’Hennessy from Game of Thrones.
The star guests were also around for special talks, offering fans an insight into the making of their shows and characters.
Cosplayers – fans who dress up as their heroes – were able to get photos and autographs with their heroes as well take part in photoshoots and cosplay competitions.
This year, the team also expanded to create a full retro gaming area set up for gamers who couldn’t get enough of the Nintendo 64, Sony PS1, SNES, and SEGA consoles.
The event was a huge hit with plenty of fans sharing their snaps on social media.
