Drug dealer ran from police
A DRUG dealer who attempted to evade police after being stopped in Tadworth has been jailed, along with another dealer who had 37 wraps of cocaine and heroin on him.
Ricardo McPherson threw a sock containing 19 wraps of cocaine into a garden as he ran from police.
The car he had been travelling in was stopped in Tattenham Way, Burgh Heath. As officers went to search McPherson, he ran away and threw the sock into a garden in Brighton Road. The 32-year-old, of High Street, Epsom, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply cocaine and was sentenced to five years and six months in jail when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court on August 11.
A second drug dealer, Joel Best, was jailed for two years and three months when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Thursday August 17.
When stopped by police, he was strip-searched and admitted to having drugs on him as officers found the 37 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.
