Drug dealer ran from po­lice

A DRUG dealer who at­tempted to evade po­lice af­ter be­ing stopped in Tad­worth has been jailed, along with another dealer who had 37 wraps of co­caine and heroin on him.

Ri­cardo McPher­son threw a sock con­tain­ing 19 wraps of co­caine into a gar­den as he ran from po­lice.

The car he had been trav­el­ling in was stopped in Tat­ten­ham Way, Burgh Heath. As of­fi­cers went to search McPher­son, he ran away and threw the sock into a gar­den in Brighton Road. The 32-year-old, of High Street, Ep­som, pleaded guilty to one count of pos­ses­sion with in­tent to supply co­caine and was sen­tenced to five years and six months in jail when he ap­peared at Guild­ford Crown Court on Au­gust 11.

A sec­ond drug dealer, Joel Best, was jailed for two years and three months when he ap­peared at Guild­ford Crown Court on Thurs­day Au­gust 17.

When stopped by po­lice, he was strip-searched and ad­mit­ted to hav­ing drugs on him as of­fi­cers found the 37 wraps of crack co­caine and heroin.
