A MAN was left ‘badly shaken’ after he was knocked to the ground and assaulted in an attack in the woods on Thursday (September 14).

The 19-year-old was assaulted and threatened before the attackers fled the scene in Wisley, taking his cash and phone with them.

Surrey Police confirmed two men and a woman assaulted the victim in the woodland around Old Lane, near the junction with Hatch Lane.

The violent assault and robbery took place between 4.30 and 5pm and the injured man was left in the woods before flagging down a passing motorist for help.

Police released details of the attackers on Monday (September 18) in an appeal for witnesses. Both men were described as black, in their mid-20s around 6’1” or 6’2” and muscular.

One male was said to have a goatee beard, short black hair and was wearing a grey jumper and blue jeans.

The other male was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans.

The woman involved was described as mixed race, in her early 20s, around 5’2” with short dark curly highlighted hair.

She was wearing purple leggings and a white sweatshirt.

“The area is popular with dog walkers and I hope that someone may have seen or heard something that can help us catch these three.

“The incident left the victim requiring hospital treatment, and he is badly shaken.

“Anyone who saw or heard anything could help us piece together what happened that afternoon”
