Flow­ers laid at scene af­ter woman dies

FLO­RAL tributes have been laid where a woman and a dog died in a vil­lage near Farn­ham .

The tributes were laid in Wrec­cle­sham Hill, Wrec­cle­sham af­ter it was an­nounced a woman and a dog died fol­low­ing a col­li­sion on Tues­day.

A red en­ve­lope was at­tached to one of the flo­ral tributes ad­dressed to “Amy and Cooper”.

Sur­rey Po­lice of­fi­cers were called to the A325 Wrec­cle­sham Hill at around 11.30am on Tues­day af­ter they re­ceived re­ports of a col­li­sion which in­volved a woman, a dog and a white Peu­geot Boxer van.

South East Coast Am­bu­lance Ser­vice paramedics and the air am­bu­lance at­tended but the woman was de­clared dead at the scene.

The road was closed for nearly eight hours as emer­gency ser­vices car­ried out in­ves­ti­ga­tion work.

The vic­tim’s fam­ily have been in­formed.

No ar­rests have been made in re­la­tion to the col­li­sion.
