Uninsured driver waves goodbye to seized Ferrari
IT may be capable of reaching 60mph in no time at all, but this Ferrari was going nowhere fast after it was seized by Surrey Police.
It was a sad sight to see the luxury sports car, which, when new, would be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, strapped to the back of a recovery truck in Guildford.
It was seized by officers from the force’s safer neighbourhood team after they caught the driver travelling without insurance.
As well as being forced to wave goodbye to their dream car, the driver was also slapped with six penalty points on their licence plus a £300 fine.
The image of the Ferrari being taken away was tweeted by the safer neighbourhood team to remind motorists how costly it can be if they do not have their paperwork in order.
