A growing interest

Surrey Herald/News - - COMMUNITY -

THE little green fingers of students at Hawkedale Infants School in Sunbury have been busy gardening away, as work continued in the Spelthorne Community Garden last week. With two gardening and woodcarving workshops, the youngsters learnt about different plants and how to care for them, also trying their hands at carving a new wooden welcome sign for the garden. Headteacher Joe Davies said: “The children love watching the changes in the garden through the different seasons. They have really enjoyed meeting the people who help out in the garden and learning new skills in the workshops.”
