Man guilty of rape and sex as­saults

CHERT­SEY: An Ep­som man has been con­victed of rape and sex­ual as­sault fol­low­ing a week-long trial at Guild­ford Crown Court. On Mon­day, a jury found Ter­ence PookimLifu, 23, guilty of four counts of rape, three of sex­ual as­sault on a fe­male, one charge of as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm and one count of theft. The of­fences took place in Chert­sey be­tween Novem­ber 2012 and June 2013. Pookim-Lifu, of Bri­ar­wood Rod, was re­fused bail and is due to be sentenced on Fri­day Jan­uary 16.
