To celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry, the Masonic Charitable Foundation has chosen eight Surrey charities to support as part of a nationwide £3,000,000 scheme.

A team of 21 walkers, including three from Surrey, recently took on the Nijmegen Marches, completing four marathons in the Netherlands to raise money for Woking-based Walk the Walk.

Eight-year-old Mahika Soin, from Woking, has come up with a novel way to raise money for her local children’s hospice Shooting Star Chase. The talented young writer has created her very own e-book, Mahika’s Short Stories.

Charles Russell Speechlys will host a canapés and fizz reception for the many local charities they work with and support. They will be joined by Ruth Sutherland, CEO of Epsom-based charity Samaritans. If you are a charity and are interested in funding opportunities from the Charles Russell Speechlys Community Fund, contact Kate Peters at the Community Foundation for Surrey on info@cfsur or on 01483 478092.
