PETRIFYING PUMPKINS Carving a pumpkin is arguably one of the best things about Halloween. Visit Weybridge’s Crockford Bridge Farm and join in with its American-style Pumpkin Patch Event, pick from over 10,000 pumpkins grown at Garsons in Esher or take a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch at Secretts in Milford. SPOOKY SPORTS Make space for plenty of trick-or-treat confectionery and a slice of pumpkin pie by signing up for some sporting activities this Halloween. A spooktacular 2k family fun run will take place at Dapdune Wharf as darkness falls on Saturday, October 27, and at Denbies Vineyard, ghosts, zombies and vampires will be on hand to help runners along the route of a 10k race. TERRIFYING THEME PARKS If rollercoasters aren’t enough to give you the shivers, maybe some of the creepy Halloween activities at Surrey’s adventure parks will leave you screaming for more. Chessington World of Adventures will be open late on selected dates from October 13 to 31 for a spine-chilling programme of events and rides. Thorpe Park’s everpopular Fright Nights will once again welcome a series of mazes, featuring horrifyingly real zombies from ABC’S The Walking Dead.
