Congratulations from MGS’ partners

Tameside Advertiser - - CELEBRATING 500 YEARS OF MGS -

MANCHESTER Grammar School was founded in 1515 by Hugh Oldham, a local man who would go on to be the Bishop of Exeter. He launched the school with the highest of aspirations and over the years MGS has evolved and expanded, all the while fulfilling his vision of being an academic school for boys of all backgrounds.

The school’s ability to do so has been essential in its longevity and success, helping it to remain one of the country’s leading academic schools throughout its fivecentury history.

Key to this development and expansion has been the relationships the school has developed with a series of valued partners. Swans Travel is the official transport partner for Manchester Grammar School and will be heavily involved in the quincentenary events and celebrations taking place throughout the year.

Kieran Swindells, managing director of Swans Travel, said the company is proud to be associated with MGS.

“It truly is a fantastic organisation and we’re honoured to be selected as the official travel partner.”

The firm is one of the leading passenger travel companies in the UK and its dedicated education team is able to provide a range of solutions.

All coaches include all modern safety and comfort features, while all driving staff are CRBaccredited and have extensive experience in the professional transport of pupils.
