Why do teach­ers stay in the pro­fes­sion? Clue: it’s not for the pay (bit.ly/payteacher)

Teach­ers are paid for re­spon­si­bil­ity. It’s the head’s name on the Of­sted re­port. It would be wrong to give them a smaller in­crease.

Al­ways re­mem­ber, you do it ‘for the chil­dren’, not for fi­nan­cial re­ward. If you’re in it for the money then you are in the wrong game.

We have a huge‘pro­fes­sional’ army of teach­ers, forced to live in a sin­gle room or with par­ents as salaries are so low.
