Help to find train­ing on Ar­ran

The Ar­ran Eco­nomic Group has launched the new Ar­ranSkills Face­book page.

The page is en­tirely ded­i­cated to train­ing cour­ses and re­lated events on Ar­ran for res­i­dents, em­ploy­ees and em­ploy­ers alike.

The page brings to­gether in one place all train­ing and per­sonal de­vel­op­ment ini­tia­tives from agen­cies and or­gan­i­sa­tions in­volved on Ar­ran, in­clud­ing Skills De­vel­op­ment Scot­land, Ar­gyll Col­lege, the Cham­ber of Com­merce, Busi­ness Gate­way and the high school. This is along with rel­e­vant and ap­pro­pri­ate in­put, knowl­edge and ex­pe­ri­ence from ma­jor em­ploy­ers on the is­land in­clud­ing the Auchran­nie Re­sort and Ar­ran Aro­mat­ics.

Sheena Borth­wick-Toomey, de­vel­op­ment di­rec­tor for the Ar­ran Eco­nomic Group said: ‘If you have train­ing needs or want to of­fer spe­cific cour­ses and would ben­e­fit from know­ing more, check out the Ar­ranSkills Face­book page. The eco­nomic group would be de­lighted to hear from you.’
