Arran’s French connection
Staff at Brodick Castle and Lochranza Distillery had a chance to practice their French when a group from Andernos-les-Bains visited.
Largs is twinned with the French Atlantic coast community, famous for its oysters, in the Gironde region and has welcomed a 19-strong group on a fiveday exchange.
During their stay, the group requested a visit to Arran, which took place on Wednesday.
For some, it was a return to the island but for most it was their first visit. The group was accompanied by about 10 of their hosts since on exchanges the visitors stay with local families.
