TYNEDALE Harriers’ 10-mile ‘Jelly Tea’ Road race takes place on Sunday, September 24 with a 10am start.

A fast and flat 10-mile race, the new course is an out-and-back from Ovingham Middle School westwards towards Bywell.

Late entries will be taken on the day at the race headquarte­rs. Further informatio­n on Tynedale Harriers’ website.

DERWENTSID­E AC’s Hellhole 10k multi-terrain race takes place on Sunday, September 24 with a 10am start.

Prior to the main event at 9.30am there is a one-mile out-and-back course fun run.

Postal entries have closed but late entries will be accepted on the day.

THE opening fixture of the Start Fitness-supported North East Harrier League is scheduled to take place in Wrekenton on Saturday, September 30.

Hosted by Saltwell Harriers, the programme starts at 12.15pm with the popular under-11 events and closes with the senior and veteran men’s race around 2.15pm.

Clubs are asked to get their entry lists in early with only the odd entry being accepted on the day.

THE Kielder 10k and the Run-Bike-Run events are scheduled for Saturday, October 8 with the halfmarath­on, marathon and junior races set for the following day.
