IT’S TIME TO WELCOME RAVEN BACK TO OUR SCREENS

The Chronicle - - Family Time -

RAVEN’S Home is a comedy spin-off of That’s So Raven which was launched on the Disney Channel this week.

It brings Raven-Symoné back as Raven Baxter, and finds her and best friend Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol) divorced with kids of their own.

They come together to raise their children – Raven’s twins Booker and Nia, and Chelsea’s son Levi. Raven still sees the future – and Booker has the same ability.

Here Raven talks about her enthusiasm for the show:

Why return now Raven?

I WANTED to come back to Disney Channel and create again. This is my home. Why do you think That’s So Raven is popular? WE had – and have – fun on set. We are always trying to make each other laugh; when you capture it on film, people see it, feel it and love it.

You’re an executive Producer on Raven’s Home?

I COME in when I feel I need to be heard – but my focus is on the kids.

I am there for them because I remember being young in the industry.

How seriously do you take your position as a role model?

I’M dealing with children under 16 everyday, I know they are very impressionable, so I take my position as a role model more seriously now than I did before.

At the same time, I’m not changing who I am. RAVEN’S Home is on the Disney Channel now
