Man’s death no longer suspicious, say police
POLICE have ruled out any third party involvement after the discovery of a man’s body in a Wallsend bungalow.
Officers cordoned off an address on Lauderdale Avenue at around 10.40am on Friday and described the cause of death as “unexplained”.
Paramedics were also called to the scene and detectives were seen going door to door quizzing neighbours.
A 36-year-old man was arrested shortly after but has been released without charge.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Police are no longer treating the report of a body found in Lauderdale Avenue, Wallsend on Friday, March 9, as unexplained.
“Following further investigations, detectives do not think there was any third party involvement. A coroner’s report is being prepared.”
