Classics from the past roar to the coast
GLEAMING bonnets and dazzling silver bumpers, sharp wings and soft curves will line up at Whitley Bay for the town’s fifth classic car show this weekend.
Buses, scooters and the odd motorbike will also feature among the 650 vehicles registered to park up on The Links tomorrow morning, ready to welcome thousands of visitors.
They will be encouraged to find out about the cars from enthusiastic owners and may even get to sit behind the wheel.
Organised by North Tyneside Council, and supported by Eastcoast Taxis and Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade, the event will feature cars from around the world, from mid-1930s classics to more recent models, and many local classic car clubs will be there.
