Appeal after man, 53, in street attack
A 53-year-old man has been left with a fractured cheekbone after he was attacked in the West End of Newcastle.
He had walked from Leazes Park, up Barrack Road and onto Brighton Grove where he is believed to have been attacked by two men.
The offenders then fled the area and the victim was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured cheek bone and a damaged eye socket.
Police urged witnesses to Sunday’s attack tocall 101 quoting log 1119 09/09/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
