Genesis 3 confusion

The Church of England - - LETTERS -

Sir, I apologise for confusing Malachy Cornwell-Kelly (and perhaps others) with a typo in my article Rethinking Adam and Eve Today (CEN, 23 December, 2012).

When I wrote that Genesis 3 “contains the proto-gospel” I should, of course, have referenced this with 3:15 NOT 3:16. The latter is, indeed, the punishment for sin, though to understand what it means I would highly recommend Susah Foh’s article, available online, ‘What is the Woman’s Desire?’.

Well done to Malachy for spotting it! However, I am not sure I understand the reference to Gal 3:28 as a ‘get out of jail card’. The Rev John Richardson, Via email
